TT Electronics
TT Electronics Plc is a British maker of automotive parts, based in Weybridge, England.
The company produces emission controls, electric vehicle components and sensors for car makers.
The group sells to large manufacturers across the world and has four divisions - aerospace and defence, medical equipment, industrial electronics and automotive.
In 2009, the company had about 7,000 workers globally.
The company had a revenue of 476.9 million pounds ($734 million) in 2012,
comparing to 746 million pounds in 2000.
== History ==
Tyzack Turner Group plc, a company listed on the London Stock Market, was renamed TT Group plc in 1988.
In the 1990s the electronics activities were expanded with the acquisitions of the Magnetic Materials Group, AB Electronic Products Group and BI Technologies.〔
Further expansion was made with the purchase of Dale Electric International and the AEI Group, the Wire and Cables Division of General Electric Company plc.〔
In 2000, the company changed its name to TT Electronics plc to more closely reflect the structure of the Group and the future direction.〔
In 1990, TT Group acquired Crystalate Manufacturing Company, a British resistors and sensors manufacturing company.
